Whizzkidz Academy Primary School
At Whizzkidz Academy, we offer children a seamless journey from the foundation phase right through to Grade 7, in a supportive and engaging learning environment. We welcome both our pre-school graduates and new learners to continue their education with us.
Our classes are intentionally small, giving each child the individual attention they need to grow with confidence. Every grade is taught by qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about guiding learners to reach their full potential.
We follow the CAPS-aligned curriculum, ensuring that all academic standards are met while creating opportunities for learners to excel. Alongside core subjects, our learners enjoy a well-rounded programme that includes physical education, computer coding, and speech & drama — helping them develop both academically and personally.

Our campus provides excellent care and facilities, including freshly prepared nutritious meals cooked by our in-house chef of 17 years and served directly to learners.

Learners also enjoy private bathrooms for each grade, a fully stocked novelty tuck shop, and remarkable play areas such as our very own WII Jump Play Land.

Safety and wellbeing are always our top priority. All teachers are qualified, experienced, and first-aid trained, with 24-hour armed response and paramedics on call for peace of mind.

Our school is secured with CCTV cameras and two-way audio in all classrooms and across the premises, ensuring learners are safe, supported, and in a bully-free environment.

Curriculum & Syllabus
CAPS Curriculum & Syllabus
At Whizzkidz Academy, our syllabus is designed to deliver academic excellence and is fully aligned with the CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) requirements of the South African Department of Basic Education. This structured approach ensures that our learners receive a recognised and high-quality education, while also benefitting from our whole-child development focus that extends beyond academics.
We believe that the formative years of a child’s education are the most critical. During this period, learners develop the foundation skills that support all future learning. For this reason, our curriculum places a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, creativity, and social development. By focusing on these building blocks early, we empower learners to progress confidently through each grade and perform well in any high school they may attend after completing Grade 7.
Our syllabus is CAPS-aligned and covers all key learning areas across the phases:

Foundation Phase (Grades 1–3): Learners are introduced to Home Language, First Additional Language, Mathematics, and Life Skills, which include personal and social wellbeing, physical education, and creative arts.

Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–6): Learners expand into Home Language, First Additional Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences & Technology, Social Sciences (History and Geography), and Life Skills. At this stage, learners begin working on more detailed projects and assessments.

Senior Phase (Grade 7): Subjects expand further to prepare learners for high school. These include Home Language, First Additional Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Technology, Social Sciences, Economic & Management Sciences, Creative Arts, and Life Orientation. Assessment becomes more structured with projects, tests, and examinations, ensuring readiness for the next academic stage.

Beyond academics, we complement the CAPS syllabus with additional subjects and activities that help learners develop essential life skills. These include Physical Education, Computer Coding, Robotics, and Speech & Drama, ensuring that every learner is exposed to a well-rounded programme.
In addition, Whizzkidz Academy provides learners with opportunities to explore extracurricular activities such as swimming, soccer, cricket, basketball, karate, robotics, and cultural programmes. These activities are designed to build teamwork, discipline, and creativity, while keeping learners active and engaged.
